Home Communion set - chalice

This is the design behind the chalice:

The shape of the cup is that of a teacup. My gran, or my mum's mum, always had a cup of tea near by and was always offering them to everyone!

The spiral stem represents the Holy Spirit and my mum's enjoyment for helter skelters.
The height of the stem holds 3 marbles perfectly. Again, representing the Holy Trinity.

The concept of the marbles was the childhood memories of my mum. Always playing, collecting and swapping them with friends.
To reflect the 'swapping' part of these memories, I did this...

Now any set of 3 marbles can be used to reflect the person having communion, or a memory, or even part of the religious calendar.
