Other than that, I like to call myself 'A Spur of the Moment-eer', meaning I don't usually plan my projects ahead. Quotes such as 'Life's too short' and 'Live your life to the fullest' and 'You only live once' are thrown around endlessly that eventually, you do become tired of hearing them so incredibly much.
My solution; take them on board and work with them, not against them. I've become increasingly bored of those quotes so I adapted them to make them my own. Hence why I call myself 'A Spur of the Moment-eer'.
So, why spur of the moments? Yes you could say life's too short but where is the fun in that?! For me as a designer maker, planning ahead is suppose to be a positive aspect of this sort of career. Personally I find it tedious and I will agree that life is much more fun when you run full pelt into the unknown. It becomes trial and error but even the errors can strangely make fantastic pieces.
Sometimes, the best designs are always the first ones or the ones which come to you from out of the blue. Like this bronze Shreddie trophy I made as a 'get well soon' present for a Shreddie loving friend!
Priceless!
Create what you want to make and just make it! Life is more fun when you live against the rules.
Anyway, design has no rules.
