Ammoknits for charity... For sale!

My little joyful ammoknits are now for sale! Well they have been for over a week... So if you're anywhere near Wetherby, visit The Mind charity shop and buy one because hey, it's for charity!

I also played around with them... I just love colour!

Admittedly, the photo's are not brilliant but then again, I'm not a photographer. I leave that to the professionals.

Rock Kittens

One year for my birthday, my mad eccentric boyfriend bought me a pebble carved into an owl. I genuinely thought it was hilarious and I still do... Anyway, in the gift bag he had given me was a present I thought to be that owl. Turns out he had wrapped a similar shaped pebble to trick me. Well I fooled for it!

The following Christmas, I had bought him an owl exactly the same but carved from a white glittery pebble and I played the same trick on him giving him back the exact same pebble... Much to my surprise, he fell for it too!

For my next birthday, he gave me that same pebble but this time, as a cat. So there was no chance I could ever give it back to him...

Aaaah! But there was one problem he did not think about; now that I have the adult cat and it doesn't have a gender, I can make it whatever I like. So I made it a female and well, I'm not sure how it keeps happening but it keeps having kittens!

How mysterious!

So now, every birthday, Christmas and anniversary we have, he will receive a small rock kitten from me!

Ammoknits for charity... nearly there!

I have officially run out of home grown lavender! I have knitted a healthy 33 of these lovely things and I am now on with the booklet/business card.

As you can see from the picture, I have tea stained them (It was like I was a child all over again!). This to me gives them a more home made look as well as the thought gone into making each one perfect.

Here is the inside of the booklet...

I have given each booklet a simple stitched spine and loosely sewn them onto each ammoknit. Once all 33 are complete, they will then be sold in the Charity shop I volunteer in.

Lovely!

Valentines Preparation

Last week I was given the 'all go' from my manager to decorate the shop (Mind charity shop) for Valentines day... How wonderfully pink it turned out to be!

So yesterday, I went in and my master plan was put to action!

With hundreds of love hearts in varying sizes and shades of pink and red, the shop was transformed! Love hearts were stuck on the mirror in the changing room, on the changing room door, on the front desk, on all the shelves, the wall, front door and even the large window looking into the shop! Love is certainly in the air!

The long pretty pink and white paper chain was spiralled around the ceiling (thanks to my cookie obsessed sister) whilst I turned the large window into a paper picture of love and romance.

A field of origami flowers scattered along the bottom whilst fluffy white clouds drift across the top. In between is Cupid with his bow and arrow and mini army of Cherubs, blowing horns and... you know, just floating there with more hearts...

It is a typical Valentines card scene but stuck to the window of a charity shop!

More pictures of this Valentines craze will be coming soon my love struck Moment-eers!
